MARPHAN'S SYNDROME
Marpan's Syndrome is hard to discribe. sort of anyway, but I will do the best That I can. Simply put, Marphan's Syndrome is caused by an active gene which at a some point in a person's life becomes apparent. The person who carries this active gene goes into a growth spurt that is unusually rapid. When this happens the person shoots up in height, and the body's skin can not keep up with the skeletal growth. The skin, flesh, veins, arteries, and even the capaleries, Hell, even the muscle have to stretch, rather than grow to keep up. This causes a weakness in the walls of the veins, and the arteries, and as the blood flows through them it causes them to bulge and grow more thin. This is an anyerism. The walls bulg and become so thin that they break.
Some dangers we face when we have Marpha's Syndrome are; Colapsed lungs for no apparent reason, Detached retinas , also for no apparent reason, and anyerisms. None of these problems have warnings ahead of time. Two out of the three are fatal. (Normally) But the point is that it is fatal to have my desease. Having no way to treat it is just the icing on the cake. There is no cure, and until recently the life expectancy was 40. This has changed a slight bit. but I am 32 years old now, and I am still alive. Let's see what the future holds.
